Halloween

Ethan: We went to the trunk or treat. We had fun. We also went to a cool trick or treat and we had to say trick or treat, and some we didn't have to say trick or treat. We had LOTS of fun. We got lots of candy, and I already ate the cotton candy. We got some toys and other candies.

I was Spiderman. We got root beer floats and donuts at school. I had a party too. Not a very big party. My favorite part of school was when we were playing some kind of witch game. This was the best day I've ever had.

Aidan: I like people who are different and love. And grandmas to come here to our house. Next week. I will be a grownup right now.

(I tried to get him to tell me more about trick or treating and Halloween, but someone rang the doorbell and he said he was all done talking to me.)

My Name

Aidan is my name. I wrote it all by myself. And Christian Wimmer. And me. A-I-D-A-N. Woah, that's funny. Woah. I love you. Bye.(He took a pencil and wrote his name by himself today. I didn't even know he knew how to write his letters - he has never tried before. He did this completely without help! Oh, and his entire name is Aidan Christian Wimmer. I helped him spell out his middle and last name, and that's why he talks about "Christian Wimmer" above.)

Our Jack-o-lanterns

We made cool jack-o-lanterns. And it was cool.

These are the faces we made so Mommy and Daddy knew what our jack-o-lanterns would look like:
Here is a picture of our jack-o-lanterns. Aidan: My jack-o-lantern looks scary to you.Ethan: My jack-o-lantern looks scary. We sat on the front step.

Me and Aidan pulled the pumpkin seeds out of the pumpkin. And Daddy helped a little. Daddy cleaned them up and then he put them in the oven. When they come out, we are going to eat them.

(Aidan was a little scared of the pumpkin guts. He only picked out 3 or 4 seeds. Christian did the rest.)

My New T-Shirt

At North Elementary I got that t-shirt. And the PTA gave it to people. We are called the Polar Bears. Bye bye everyone.

In Daddy's Office

Ethan: We like going there and we like catching the teddy bear when we throw it. We take our shoes off so we don't slip and take our socks off so we wouldn't slip. This is Daddy and Aidan and me, and this is in his office. You can't see the African man right there holding the books up, but I like it. We're standing right by the water cooler, and we like it. It's cool because you just have to put cups in there (pointing to the right) and that big huge bottle holds all the water. And you just have to press that button down, and you just have to get a cup, and then press the button, and the water will just fall in.
Aidan: I like Daddy's office. Because. I like him, and I like you. Well, I like hugs too and hiking with Daddy. I like you. Well, bye.

A Bat in North Elementary

<--- He looked just like that.
There was a bat in my school yesterday. I was going to school with Daddy on Monday. When we were just walking in, Mr. Bonner (the principal) opened the doors, but he couldn't open them because I think the bat was stuck in the doors. And then he finally opened it and the bat flew off. And the kids were like, "Yay! Yay!" I was like "Woow :)" (smiley face as per Ethan). :)

Bye bye everyone!

The Garden House

Dear everyone,Ethan: At The Garden House we had a brownie sundae and a mousse for dessert. We went there to celebrate our family, that we can be together forever. And it was a house at first. Where we ate was the dining room. The restaurant was 120 years old when it was a house. My favorite was eating the brownie sundae. And it was pretty good. Mama liked the mousse the best. And it was tart! Bye everyone.
Aidan: I liked the cake. I liked the other cake too. I like restaurants. Well, I love Mama and Dada and Ethan and me. I like everybody in the whole wide world. I like you. Bye!

(We went out for dessert for Family Home Evening and talked about all of our blessings and the things we are thankful for.)

Zion's National Park with Daddy

Dear everyone,

Ethan: On Friday, Daddy took us to Zion's National Park. We went on a really big hike. We saw a lizard, a bug that was moving very very slow, and it was slower than us when we were walking. We saw a butterfly, and we found a frog. There were three levels and the first level drops water on us, and then the second level is a little higher and it is like a tiny stream, and then the third level is a little higher. The third level was a little slicker and steeper when we climbed up. And the third level was so long.

Aidan: I love the hike because I like water splashing on my head and stomping in puddles. I like the third level.

(Erin: They went to the Emerald Pools. It was a 2.5 mile hike all together. Christian said they were such troopers and didn't complain once. They just enjoyed nature, and being together.)

Welcome!

I am noticing that my main blog, if you give a mom a moment, is becoming an outlet for me to write more of what I am thinking and feeling, and less about the family. I decided to start a blog dedicated to our family and our activities. Being concerned with the nature of Christian's job, and not wanting details of our personal lives posted on the internet for all to see, I decided to make this blog private. For the most part, this blog will be written by Ethan and Aidan, with occasional (or maybe frequent) input by me (input by me will be written in italics). We will probably post sporadically rather than regularly, so check back often to see what kind of antics we have been up to!

Oh, and since it's private, you can comment and not worry about other people seeing it! I'm sure Ethan and Aidan would love having comments written straight to them. They love getting e-mail just as much as I do.
