Jump Rope and Schedules

Yesterday we pulled out the jump ropes. The boys have had them for months and never played with them (I don't know why). They were obsessed! They spent at least an hour outside, trying to break their record of how many jumps they could do without stopping (Aidan is at eight, I believe, and Ethan is at 22). They were so excited, and I had to make them stop to come in and get ready for bed. Ethan took his to school today to jump at recess. He was so excited he decided to make a "schedule" for every day of the week...although he only had time to write one day's schedule down:
I don't know if you can read it. This is what it says:

Schedule for Monday

breakfest - 15 Mi
School - 7 hours
Jump rope - 30 Minutes
Playing Legos - 22 Minutes
Sleeping - 12 Hours

It sounds like his Monday schedule is set!!

Four Months

Today, Kaitlyn had her four month doctor's appointment.

Weight: 15.6 lbs (95%)
Height: 26 inches (greater than 95%)
Head circumference: 40 cm (50%)

They said I could start her on solid foods any time (but I don't think she's ready yet so I will hold off for a bit). I also talked to them about her head, how she's always looking toward the right and her head is a bit lopsided. They said it is a bit of a concern, and gave me a referral to a physical therapist in St. George to have it looked at. But they also suggested that I could try to be more diligent in trying to keep her looking to the left side. She also got three shots and took the oral rotavirus one.

I tried to take a picture just now but the camera battery is dead. She sure is a cutie though!

Aidan's First Day of Kindergarten

School was fun, and I really like it so much. And I play with my friends a little. And tomorrow we get to do pictures taken. And from school I got to do some things and I got this zero hero necklace. I made two books about Chester (a raccoon) who loves school. Mrs. Brunson is my teacher. Madalyn and Josh are my friends. Riding the bus is fun too. I sit by Ethan and Gabe (on the way to school), and Madalyn (on the way home).

Love,
Aidan

Ethan's First Day of School

The first day of school was real fun. And my teacher is really nice. Her name is Mrs. Gallis. I did some fun stuff on the first day of school. Like doing some fun papers and stuff. We going to have a science unit about all kinds of stuff. Our first one was about insects. I brought a stuffed animal praying mantis. We only read for three minutes. I did not like that (because it wasn't enough time).

Strong Stomach Muscles

Starting yesterday, Kaitlyn decided to start trying to sit up. Whenever she is in her chair, she tries doing this:
Other cute pics: (this first one reminds me of my baby pictures Mom. Does it look like me?)

This Girl Likes to Move

This is what Kaitlyn looked like (and, more importantly, where she was in the crib) when I went to get her this morning. She has a frowny face because I wasn't picking her up, and also because I don't think she likes the flash.
Now here is a re-enactment of where I put her last night when I put her to bed. I put her down at 10:30, and she woke up at 7:15.As you can see, she kicks her legs until she pivots all the way around. And she was wrapped up tightly, like a burrito. She still manages to get an arm (or two) out no matter how tightly I wrap her.

Camping Trip

Dad took us camping and it was fun. And we had a fun time. We ate marshmallows and Ethan and me and Dada played frisbee a little, and then we went to catch some fish and we only caught three. I had a pistol stick that shooted and it also has a laser, and there's this laser stick too, and it can also be a sword if you want it too. It was so fun. Ethan found a boomerang, he also had a stick and he pretended to shoot the sticks (like a slingshot). It was so funny.

I had a very fun time camping. It's up when we go to Cedar Breaks. It was Aidan's favorite camping spot. The fire was really big. We had a very fun time. I helped get firewood. (Aidan says, "I did too.") I got little sticks and pretended to shoot them for a slingshot. And I also have a bazooka stick. We only caught three fish fishing because it was so windy.

Playing at the Park with Friends

The kids had fun feeding the ducks at the park. Ethan, Nolan, Aidan, MacyEthan loved the merry-go-round. It was the first time he had ever been on one.
Aidan had fun on the other playground toys.
Posing for a pic. He's almost ready for GQ.

I took some pictures of Kaitlyn when we went to the park. Here are some of my favorites.

Little Friends

We went up to Layton to visit Jeremy and Karla over the weekend. While we were there, we took pictures of Linden and Kaitlyn together. Linden is one week older than Kaitlyn. (Linden is on the left in the pictures, and Kaitlyn is on the right. Don't you love Kaitlyn's little pout/frown in the last picture?)
